Is it really free?
Yes — searching cards and looking up prices on the website is completely free, with no signup. The iOS app is also free; some advanced features like unlimited scans and collection backups are part of an optional premium subscription.
Where does the price data come from?
Prices aggregate from TCGPlayer (US market) and CardMarket (EU market), updated multiple times per day. Graded values come from recent PSA, CGC, and BGS sales.
Can I track my collection on the website?
The collection tracker lives in the iOS app — scan cards with the camera, organize into collections, and watch portfolio value move over time. The website is optimized for quick lookups and price discovery.
Is this affiliated with The Pokemon Company?
No. Pokemon Card Scanner is an independent third-party tool for collectors. All card images and trademarks remain property of The Pokemon Company, Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures Inc.
Do you store my collection data?
The iOS app keeps your collection on-device by default. Optional iCloud sync lets you back up across your own devices — your collection is never shared or sold.
